                                note by a certain <persName>German

                                    are used. Cases of writing of <foreign xmlns="http://www.tei-c.org/ns/1.0" xml:lang="cu">оу</foreign> and <foreign xmlns="http://www.tei-c.org/ns/1.0" xml:lang="cu">o</foreign> for the letter for the back nasal are attested.
                                    In a few occurances, the sign for the "fifth" nasal appears:

                                        <item>The continuant of the Proto-Slavic <emph>*tj</emph> is
                                            rendered more often with digraph <foreign xml:lang="cu">шт</foreign>. The usual reflex of <emph>*dj</emph>
                                            is <foreign xml:lang="cu">жд</foreign> but there are a
                                            couple of examples with <foreign xml:lang="cu">з</foreign>, such as <foreign xml:lang="cu">розьства </foreign> (48.20), and <foreign xml:lang="cu">визжь</foreign> (399.17). </item>

                                The adjective forms preffer the archaic <foreign xmlns="http://www.tei-c.org/ns/1.0" xml:lang="cu">-сц-</foreign> to <foreign xmlns="http://www.tei-c.org/ns/1.0" xml:lang="cu">-ст-</foreign>. Cases with <foreign xmlns="http://www.tei-c.org/ns/1.0" xml:lang="cu">-ст-</foreign> are rare. The uncontracted forms of
                                        pronominal adjectives and of verbs of the -je-conjugation in
                                        Ind. Praes. Act. and of verbs in Imperfect are much more
                                        frequent than the contracted ones. Verbal forms (Ind. Praes.
                                        Act., p.3, -je-conjugation) with assimilation, such as
                                <foreign xmlns="http://www.tei-c.org/ns/1.0" xml:lang="cu">бѣгаатъ</foreign>, <foreign xmlns="http://www.tei-c.org/ns/1.0" xml:lang="cu">радоуоутъ</foreign> are frequent. In
                                Imperativus there is variation of forms with <foreign xmlns="http://www.tei-c.org/ns/1.0" xml:lang="cu">ѣ</foreign> and with <foreign xmlns="http://www.tei-c.org/ns/1.0" xml:lang="cu">и</foreign>, such as <foreign xmlns="http://www.tei-c.org/ns/1.0" xml:lang="cu">покажѣте</foreign> 290.17, but also
                                <foreign xmlns="http://www.tei-c.org/ns/1.0" xml:lang="cu">покажите</foreign> 80.5.

                                    The manuscript uses non-sigmatic Aoristus

                                    in a vowel often preserve the archaic ending <foreign xmlns="http://www.tei-c.org/ns/1.0" xml:lang="cu">-тъ</foreign> in Ind. Aor. Act, p. 2 and
                                    3, Sg., e.g. <foreign xmlns="http://www.tei-c.org/ns/1.0" xml:lang="cu">обитъ</foreign>,
                                    <foreign xmlns="http://www.tei-c.org/ns/1.0" xml:lang="cu">оумрѣтъ</foreign>. Three cases of
                                    ommited ending <foreign xmlns="http://www.tei-c.org/ns/1.0" xml:lang="cu">-тъ</foreign> for Ind.
                                    Praes. Act., p. 3. Sg. are found (<foreign xmlns="http://www.tei-c.org/ns/1.0" xml:lang="cu">e</foreign> instead of <foreign xmlns="http://www.tei-c.org/ns/1.0" xml:lang="cu">естъ</foreign>, <foreign xmlns="http://www.tei-c.org/ns/1.0" xml:lang="cu">нѣ</foreign> for

                            <langNote key="grammar" type="nomina">The old suffix <foreign xmlns="http://www.tei-c.org/ns/1.0" xml:lang="cu">-нье</foreign> is written frequently as <foreign xmlns="http://www.tei-c.org/ns/1.0" xml:lang="cu">-ние</foreign>, e.g. <foreign xmlns="http://www.tei-c.org/ns/1.0" xml:lang="cu">знамение</foreign>, but this orthography

                            manuscript to August Leskien. The main part of the codex was found by V.
                            Grigorović on Mount Athos and was taken by him to Russia.</provenance>
