                        <note>Slavonic and Latin dictionary. The Slavonic adheres fundamentally to
                            the norms of Russian Church Slavonic, avoiding pleophonic forms where
                            metathesized ones are available, etc., though vernacular words are not
                            entirely excluded, e.g. <foreign xml:lang="cu">чрепаха</foreign> beside
                                <foreign xml:lang="cu">зелвъ</foreign>. Ukrainian influence is
                            evident in certain lexical items (e.g. <foreign xml:lang="cu">довтѣб</foreign>, <foreign xml:lang="cu">похибныи</foreign>) and in
                            the confusion of <foreign xml:lang="cu">и</foreign>and <foreign xml:lang="cu">ы</foreign>. The writer appears to have been fully
                            competent in both Church Slavonic and Latin</note>
